In addition to appearing in the Ohio version of the program, he visited Birmingham for the Arnold Classic UK. Fans were ecstatic to see the highly anticipated debut competition of their favorite bodybuilder.

Sam Sulek disclosed a few more specifics of his strategy during an interview with bodybuilding veteran and former coach of Chris Banstead, Iain Valliere.

Fans have questioned if Sulek could compete against open bodybuilders, despite the fact that he got the chance to photograph alongside Samson Dauda, the winner of the 2023 Arnold Classic.

It appears that notion wasn’t exclusive to the fans. But Sulek knows the solution to that.

Sam Sulek wants to take it one step at a time

The popular bodybuilder still has lots of time to grow and develop at just 21 years old. Sulek, meanwhile, believes it would be very ambitious to attempt to compete in the open category at first.

Sam Sulek said to Valliere at the Arnold Sports Festival UK, “So, the plan is going to be classic.” “A real open bodybuilder, that’s a lot of mass,” Sulek noted, despite the fact that many urge him to put on weight.
The ex-diver thinks he’s gained a good deal of muscle.

Still, he’s one of the smaller bodybuilders. Hadi Choopan and Derek Lunsford, two shorter bodybuilders who have recently conquered the Olympia stage, began their careers in the 212 class.

Before trying to advance to the open weight class, Sam Sulek would like to go through something similar.

Although he is ready to control the impulse, the 21-year-old claimed that the term “I’m too big” does not resist in his “vocabulary.” There is no guarantee that Sam Sulek will succeed in classical physics, but he is eager to compete in it nonetheless.

Actually, compared to the Open class, the Classic Physique division may even be harder.

The insane competition in Classic Physique

Even for an elite like Sam Sulek, breaking into the class won’t be simple. Even if Classic Physique may be a good fit for his stature and weight,.

Chris Bumstead, the division’s king for the previous five years, has appeared reliable in his role. Breon Ansley, Urs Kalecinski, Ramon Dino, and others have all given him fierce competition, though.

If that weren’t enough, this year at the Arnold Classic in Ohio and the UK, Wesley Vissers rocked the division as a whole. Defeating Dino at Ohio, Vissers was victorious in both show editions. Bianca’s next opponent appears to be the man who finished seventh in the 2023 Classic Physique Olympia.
It remains to be seen if Sam Sulek will follow in the footsteps of Wesley Visser. Or become the next Mr. Olympia.

Even without competing in the bodybuilding ring, one cannot ignore the bodybuilder given what he has accomplished at the age of just 21.
